Cemalcan Özer

Cemalcan Özer began his artistic journey during his middle school years with a strong interest in drawing. His early works led him to a distinguished drawing studio, where he received four years of scholarship-based art education throughout high school. During this period, he developed both his technical skills and visual language while preparing for university entrance exams.

During his transition to university, he was unable to define a clear direction and therefore gained professional experience within a corporate environment for approximately three years. However, over time, he realized that this system did not align with his way of life and chose to refocus on art. His growing interest in tattooing, along with his close connections with tattoo artists, led him to seek a lasting form of expression in this field.

Sharing his drawings within a studio environment and expressing his desire to leave a mark in art clarified that tattooing was the right field for him. After a short period of tattoo training, he began producing work actively. After exploring different styles, he moved away from surface-level aesthetics and adopted an approach focused on meaning, context, and personal storytelling.

Today, Cemalcan Özer approaches each project through a consultation process, creating original conceptual micro-realism designs that take into account his clients’ life stories, cultural backgrounds, and body proportions. He considers the human body not merely as a surface, but as a living space that carries memories and emotions; through his conceptual expression built on micro-realistic details, he aims to establish a strong emotional connection while maintaining simplicity.
